Junnö Design is a collaboration between Junn Chee, a Malaysian industrial designer and Anton Nöffke, a South African with wide international experience in management and sales.

Sharing a love for nature and good design, they hope to help preserve the dwindling rain forests of SE Asia by making use of wood salvaged from old houses and buildings in Malaysia, repurposed into useable products.  Their business concept is to be environmentally friendly, to use salvaged materials where possible and to express that in contemporary design products that fuses different cultural influences with elements from nature. 

Junno Design Sdn Bhd was founded in Ipoh, Malaysia and commenced manufacture of cutting boards and furniture from salvaged wood under the Tree&Co brand in 2012.  In October 2016 the company was selected by the City of Fukuoka in Japan as a promising start-up, and Junn and Anton relocated to Japan in December of that year to establish Junno Design LLC in Fukuoka in Western Japan. Manufacture of wood and leather care products (waxes, oils and applicators) commenced in Japan in February 2017.  

The Japan Patent Office granted Junno Design LLC a trademark for "wood food"  in 2018 and the brand continue to expand and gain attention in Japan, Europe and other markets.

In 2021 the company established a branch office in Seoul, South Korea and launched a range of wood food products on its Korean language site at www.woodfood.kr.
